Battery voltage test:

 

Battery voltage detection is the process of measuring the voltage of a battery, and is mainly used to evaluate the health and performance of the battery. Battery voltage detection is very important for various battery-powered devices such as automobiles, power tools, and portable electronic devices, because the battery voltage can directly reflect the battery's charge state and remaining energy. By regularly checking the battery voltage, battery problems can be detected early to avoid equipment failure or battery damage.

Battery voltage detection method:

1. Use a voltmeter: The most direct method is to use a multimeter or digital voltmeter to measure the terminal voltage of the battery. For a 12-volt car battery, the normal voltage should be between 12.6V and 12.8V.
2. Battery monitoring tools: Some specialized battery testing instruments or car battery testers can also be used to detect battery voltage and provide more detailed diagnostic information (such as battery charge status, health status, etc.). We have V200 recommended.

Fuse status check

In car maintenance, it is very important to ensure the normal operation of the circuit. Fuses are key components to protect circuits. Once a short circuit or overload occurs in the circuit, the fuse will melt and cut off the current to avoid greater damage.

Here are some quick ways to check if a fuse is blown in a car circuit:

1. Visual inspection
Open the car fuse box and find the fuse you need to check.
Check if the metal wire of the fuse is broken. If it is broken, the fuse is blown and the circuit will stop working.
If the fuse is transparent, check if the metal strip in the middle is intact.
2. Use a fuse tester
Using a fuse tester (also called a fuse detector) can quickly detect whether the fuse is normal. Our product V200pro can do this perfectly.
Connect the tester to both ends of the fuse. If the tester shows normal, there is no problem with the fuse; if it shows abnormal or no current, it means that the fuse has blown.
3. Replacement test
If you are not sure about the status of the fuse, the easiest way to check is to replace it with a new one.
If the circuit returns to normal operation after replacement, the original fuse may have blown.
4. Current check

 Relay Fault Detection

Test whether the relays in the car circuit are working properly to avoid circuit failure

Here are some common inspection methods to test whether the relay is working well:

1. Test the relay voltage
Method: Use a multimeter to test the voltage of the relay. Set the multimeter to DC voltage and connect the test leads to the control terminal and ground of the relay. Then start the vehicle and press the relay control switch.
Problem diagnosis: If the relay is working properly, there should be voltage (usually 12V) between the control terminal and the ground terminal. If there is no voltage, there may be a problem with the relay control circuit.
2. Relay activation test
Method: Remove the relay from the circuit and connect a known normal relay test tool or jumper to directly supply voltage to the relay. Then, use a multimeter to check whether there is current flowing through the output terminal of the relay. Our product V500 product has a full circuit test, including this function.
Problem diagnosis: If the relay has no output current, even if it is manually activated, it means that the relay is damaged and needs to be replaced.
3. Check the coil and contacts of the relay
Method: Use the resistance range of the multimeter to check the resistance of the relay coil. Generally speaking, the relay coil should have a certain resistance value (usually tens of ohms). If the resistance is zero or very high, it means that the coil is damaged. Coils and contacts are more difficult to test, but our V500 can do it all!
Contact check: Use the continuity test function of the multimeter to check the contacts of the relay. Make sure that when the relay is working, the contacts are closed and allow current to flow. If the test shows no continuity, it means that the contacts may be burned or stuck.
4. Relay control circuit check
Method: Some relays are activated by a control circuit (such as a sensor or switch). If the relay itself is working properly, but the control circuit does not send power, the relay cannot be activated.
Problem diagnosis: Check the voltage and signal of the relay control circuit to ensure that the signal is reaching the relay correctly.
