Yes. This auto electrical open & short finder tol comes with 2 pcs 9v Batery for the receiver and transmiter. When the toolis not needed, please check these parts and let them in the OFF position to avoid draining the 9V battery power.

Much like an electrician's meter, this item can be used to verify that circuits are complete in automotive systems. Often there is one fuse or loose wire in an elaborate system that causes confusion to car owners and mechanics alike, and this cable tracker is able to discern not only loose connections, but short-circuits, etc.
It is easy to use, especially for those who understand voltage meters. So far it has been very accurate and it is made with high quality parts so it is sturdy enough to be out in a mechanics garage.
There are several settings, uses, and even tones and so far it appears very accurate. There is a long probe on one end in addition to the red and black electric wiring.
This item performs well and does seem to be able to do its job properly.
This is a good tool for finding open and shorted circuits. Comes with an informative manual. Doesn’t come with a case. Easy to use. It uses two 9 volt batteries,(included). It makes a significant noise when you’re close to the wire you’re after.
So far this summer, this tracer has helped me find a bad ground connection and to locate a break in the control wire of a passenger-side window motor. I found the tool easy to use and the results unambiguous.
